A New Journey

Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined creating a blog that has been so widely accepted. I know it is the cliché thing to say, but I started The Fashionisto in order to fill the menswear void I saw in the blogosphere. There have always been menswear sites, but none that I felt truly encompassed and appreciated the wide scope of menswear.

I pay attention to the large fashion houses like Prada and Lanvin just like any other, but also near and dear to my heart are the small budding labels like Claude Grant, Marjan Pejoski, and Saint Augustine Academy. Together these labels create a tangled web of stories, aspirations, and inspiration.

As The Fashionisto has grown over the past year, I have tried my best to remain true to the clothes, and present them in a fashion that shows reverence and respect. I hope that what The Fashionisto offers to most is an original, clean and clear journey through what is currently happening in menswear. I feel that it is in this vein that The Fashionisto stands out from the rest. Along this journey, it has been my intention to keep The Fashionisto a pure menswear blog with as little dilution as possible. It is in part do to that goal that I am launching The Fashionisto Diaries.

So, what can you expect? The Fashionisto will still be updated as is, but pop in here for a couple updates a week. Updates will include my ramblings about everything from new clothing obsessions, how Kanye is destroying fashion, silly rants about Make Me A Supermodel to things that inspire my style on a day to day basis.

Looking forward to talking to each of you in the comments,

Carl
