Presenting an alternate universe reminiscent of the era of stars like Dick Van Dyke, Thom Browne kept things uniform at his recent Pitti Uomo presentation of his fall 2009 collection. For Browne, this presentation was tame compared to his usual shows of avant-garde wear. Putting together his first European show, Browne kept it simple, showcasing his impeccable tailoring by using modest colors and duplicate fits. Have to love a designer who recognizes the power of an artistic presentation. The question now is if Thom Browne will ever hit the runways of Milan or Paris.
