With economic strife in the air, a great deal of the fashion world is returning to safe neutral colors and contemporary but modest shapes. This upcoming season, Carin Wester ditches the pastel feel-good knits of spring for the appropriate dark morose colors of fall. Creating slim boxy shapes, Wester found a balance between her frilly side and the masculinity that has been dominating a majority of fall’s collections.
