Like usual, April77 has pulled out all the stops for their latest collection and prevailed. Venturing outside their comfort label for their upcoming unisex-based collection, the line takes its inspiration from a western motif, with the central focus being a Navajo print. Utilizing an array of colors and fabrics, the concept is developed to employ the use of “Loden wool, hand-woven Peruvian ponchos, cruelty free suede leather shoes, double weave Japanese cottons, and red selvedge Japanese denim.” The variety in texture opens the line up perfectly to silhouettes and options that are more varied than usual with fantastic tassel adorned knits, oversized tops, and ponchos. Overall, April77 succeeds with quite the memorable collection that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
This collection reminds me a lot of my ex which is bummersville but aside from that: amaaaaaaazing. I love the navaho ponchos. The denim hoodie is sick too.

this collection is not cohesive at all. their attitude is punk. they’re trying to capture the essence of the subcultures of the youth but they went for too much here. If they really wanted to do the folk/native american thing, they should have done it right. The plaids they picked out were inappropriate, the boots were completely wrong (only brown!), and they should have done more with the vest. A big thunderbird would have gone a long way here but we’re left with nothing. There are a few things that you could incorporate into your wardrobe but nothing that’s worth the prices they’re going to charge.
