“Elegantly Wasted” – Fortunes Fool A/W 09

Designers Shay Carthew and Lior Abrahami of Australia-based label Fortune’s Fool have come a long way since their 2007 debut. The designing duo have matured tremendously, moving away from sleek light flowing basics to a collection that is darker, grittier and more fashion-forward. Embracing a militaristic silhouette, the collection is structured, masculine and maintains an elegant stature. The outerwear which best embodies the collection’s overall look is softened with chunky oversize knits and extra-long stylishly waif scarves. Continuously evolving for the best, the current collection of Fortune’s Fool only raises expectations for the next.
