Indie Magazine | Jethro Cave by Stefan Heinrichs

Written by Carl on Monday, October 26th, 2009 | 2009, editorial, indie magazine, jethro cave, stefan heinrichs

Gumby earring and all, Jethro Cave’s loud persona is matched by the eccentric styling of Yilmaz Aktepe in the latest issue of Indie magazine. Photographed by Stefan Heinrichs, Jethro demonstrates growth as a model, falling easily into roles as moody and cool or offbeat and slightly awkward.

He is pretty okay. There is a lot of hype around this guy too right? I am not sure what the appeal is. The editing and photographer, I feel, did a lot of the work.

I think he is one of those models who get cast for their persona as a model–you can dress him up in crazy pieces and still come out with something that looks relatively organic. If you were to replace him with a more classic model like Mathias L., it would be a whole other story. I group him with Cole, Luke, Keith and Yuri.

He’s popular because he’s the mostly useless son of someone important. He’s Nick Cave’s son. He’s like the male Pixie Geldof. And he reeks of body odor, or did the last I ran into him.
