Before we close the chapter on Milan Fashion Week, let’s take one more glance at some of the details that may have gone unnoticed–from Alexander McQueen’s reptile skin and Versace’s intensive fabric weaving to Roberto Cavalli’s skillful blend of vivacious patterns. If anything, Milan sets the stage for another dark fall, but one where color is brought in through the clever mixing and matching of patterns, textures and prints. In addition, silhouettes once again appear to be retracting as the model narrows with a focus on controlled proportions.

  1. I know they are artist and artist have the right to display whatever they want and call it art. But at the end of the day I can only hope they are trying to make clothes that people would want to put on without looking like something out of a circus act. I'm gonna say realistically 85% of the stuff from Milan 10' is ridiculous. C.P. Company put out the most wearable line in My opinion. As if anyone would wear a skin tight snake print suit. WTF?!

  5. don't be so close minded. it's not about the wearability persay- its about the art and the concept and the meaning behind it. if you truly appreciated fashion, you would know that.

  9. I think that the styling can throw people. Runway looks can be over-the-top, but if you were a buyer at Barney's, you'd know there are some really amazing pieces. Rarely do you see someone dressed head to toe in a designer, but they may have great items that came from shows like these…..

  17. First of all, it's not a snake print suit, it's a bones print suit. Second of all, I would wear it.
And, I am sure, there are others who will.
