The latest collection from Acne is definitely not your garden-variety. Fusing sci-fi aspirations with a nod to aviation, designer Jonny Johansson looks to dark colors and heavy, but utilitarian outerwear for this season’s focal point. Turning to leather and conservative silhouettes, pants and tops are fitted, while plunging necklines and elongated proportions keep the Acne man at the helm of what’s current.

Spring 2010 | Acne Pop Classics

Understated with a hint of Native American inspiration found in the range’s graphics, Acne Pop Classics delivers yet another easygoing collection. Although loose tops and ripped denim may be minimal, the collection packs a punch with its busy shoes that range from a simple black to a bold animal print.
Spring 2010 | Acne Pre Collection & Pop Classics

Acne stays on top of spring with the release of their Pre Collection and Pop Classics lookbooks. Supporting their mainline, there is not a significant departure in direction. The Pre Collection begins to embrace spring’s silhouettes, but remains on the leaner side with fall’s dark color palette. Meanwhile, Pop Classics approaches the season with a casual state of mind, relying a lot on distressed denim and slouchy tees.
