London Fashion Week | b Store Fall 2010

Written by Carl on Saturday, February 20th, 2010 | 2010, alex dunstan, b store, fall, fall 2010, johannes linder, london fashion week, lookbooks/presentations

Offering both loose and fitted ensembles for next season, b Store strikes a fine note with their latest offerings. Balancing high fashion proportions with the man of casual aspirations, b Store designers Matthew Murphy and Kirk Beattie craft a smart collection of many options. While tailored suiting is the norm for b Store, a revamping of everyday apparel speaks to high street culture. From leggings and oversize knits to boxy cropped coats, b Store delivers consistent quality alongside a collection that is both current and fresh.

Spring 2010 | Charlie France for b Store

Written by Carl on Tuesday, January 5th, 2010 | 2010, b store, charlie france, jason hughes, laurence ellis, lookbooks/presentations, spring, spring 2010

Styled by Jason Hughes and photographed by Laurence Ellis, Charlie France offers a second look at b Store’s collection for the upcoming spring season. Inspired by the film The Graduate, photo reference books of Charles Hix and American sportswear of the 1970s, designers Matthew Murphy and Kirk Beattie maintain a certain accessibility with monochromatic ensembles. Whereas boxy cuts rival narrow lapels, nylon adds a casual element to an otherwise posh collection. Altogether, the range shapes up to be the ultimate companion in spring essentials.

Spring 2010 | b Store

Written by Carl on Thursday, September 24th, 2009 | 2009, 2010, Runway, b store, george barnett, josh beech, lasse pedersen, london fashion week, spring, spring 2010, william eustace

The latest collection from b Store was inspired by the film The Graduate, photo reference books of Charles Hix and American sportswear of the 1970s. Designers Matthew Murphy and Kirk Beattie play it safe with this theme and take the opportunity to explore monochromatic ensembles that are highly accessible. Small pointed collars mark the shirting options, while crew necks become a staple, whether worn by themselves or as part of a casual suit. Meanwhile, nylon makes an appearance in outerwear cut from a season appropriate blue. Altogether, Murphy and Beattie may not reinvent the wheel, but they do offer a choice selection of wardrobe fundamentals for the upcoming spring season.

b Store Fall 2009

Written by Carl on Thursday, June 11th, 2009 | 2009, b store, fall, fall 2009, lookbooks/presentations

B store sails into the fall with their chic collection of fashionably awkward proportions. B Store explores and tweaks traditional menswear in a fashion that results in a new range of clothing separates and pairing possibilities. High-waist trousers are cropped to high-water length, whereas blazers are delivered various treatments as modern as the motorcycle jacket’s cut. Mock turtlenecks add shape, whilst stripes and polka dots reinforce a casual atmosphere all set for the man willing to take a fashion risk this fall.
