New media platform Nowness shares Pierre Debusschere’s most recent short film for AnOther Man featuring British actor Robert Sheehan. Celebrating twenty years of menswear for Dolce & Gabbana, the film takes an interesting look at spring’s collection styled by David St John-James. Filmed in North London, a range notorious for its glamour gets a gritty remake with an experimental atmosphere of lights and sparks.
Dolce & Gabbana’s twentieth year anniversary lands them their second feature editorial this season. Starring Simon Nessman and Carlos Sander photographed by Sebastian Faena, VMAN’s upcoming issue houses the styling of Panos Yiapanis as he is given free range to layer looks pulled from Dolce & Gabbana’s past collections.
Next month’s issue of Dazed & Confused takes note of Dolce & Gabbana’s twenty year anniversary with a striking editorial feature starring Oliver Welton and Guy Linch. Styled by Stevie Westgarth and photographed by Mel Bles, the short, but memorable piece strikes a chord with a look at the beauty in Dolce & Gabbana’s decadent appeal.
Dolce & Gabbana tones down the luxe factor this season with a varied collection of the usual pieces, but a gritty element. Void of color and not afraid of a rip, hole or two, the range’s most notable pieces are found in the disheveled tanks, knits and longjohns. Alternatively, Dolce & Gabbana’s man, who is known to work with his hands is championed by the oil-like wash given to the collection’s denim. Finally, speckled knits, tweed and velvet find their way into this season’s offerings for those special occasions.
After a short wait, Dolce & Gabbana have released their spring 2010 campaign in its entirety. Photographed by Steven Klein in New York this past fall, the campaign features Dolce & Gabbana regulars Adam Senn, Noah Mills, Sam Webb and David Gandy.
