As tradition dictates, the Gucci man makes an unapologetic fall debut with luxury on parade in the usual form of leather, velvet, suede and fur. Not quite suited for downtime this season, Gucci narrows in on suiting and outerwear with an earthy color appeal. Instead of turning to bold colors and prints, Gucci lets the fabrics and workmanship do the talking with a collection that evokes the rich lifestyle without being reckless.
Ryan Kennedy’s cruise campaign for Gucci was a great indicator of the label’s direction for the spring 2010 season. Joined once more by Natasha Poly, Ryan was photographed by Mert & Marcus for the upcoming spring campaign that takes a more grounded approach to the season, differing significantly from the ultra-glam look achieved by Inez & Vinood for fall. Living up to their image, the new campaign styled by Emmanuelle Alt is all sex and glamor.
