Still whimsical, but more grounded than usual, Henrik Vibskov’s latest collection finds a harmonious balance between the designer’s adventurous garments and safer pieces with a wider appeal. Playing it coy with season appropriateness, the wardrobe of Vibskov’s man ranges from the carefully layered pairing of proportions to the leg baring kilts and shorts. Regardless of the degree of dress, the collection has fun with colorful solids, prints and patching, resulting in everything from relaxed jackets and leggings to short sleeve knits.
Fragrance line Six Scents returns for a second series featuring Phillip Lim, Damir Doma, Henrik Vibskov, Henry Holland, Richard Nicoll and Toga. Once more, the collaborative project between Metaproject, Seven New York and Givaudan will be limited in number–2,000 to be precise. A percentage of proceeds will be going to Pro-Natura in support of their environmental sustainability programs.

No one can explain the eccentric designs of Henrik Vibskov better than the man himself: “Can there be life without donkeys? An old story tells that a farmer of mean repute once tried to train his donkey to live without eating. The early stages of the project were quite successful and the animal was able to continue all his daily tasks without reward. The unfortunate part of the story is that, just as the farmer was about to prove his point, the donkey went and ruined the experiment. With the usual lack of concern and interest most underlings give to the good ideas of their betters, the donkey laid down and died.” (WWD)

Forward has just received a spring shipment from Henrik Vibskov. Following a natural creative progression, Vibskov replaces his famous Dyken shorts with the Hunter shorts. The shorts contribute to a collection that playfully mixes patterns in both neutral and bright colors.
