Preview – KZO Spring 2010

Written by Carl on Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009 | 2009, 2010, kzo, lookbooks/presentations, spring, spring 2010

Cyana Trend Land shares with us a preview of KZO’s upcoming spring 2010 collection entitled, “Into The Blue”. Made in Japan, the collection offers up the quality of Japanese workmanship, while still maintaining a look that is comforting and mindful of the wearer. Featuring garments that are loose and relaxed, the collection puts the leisure in suiting, while elevating easy to tackle pieces like the cardigan to stylish levels.

“Hallowed Ground” – KZO Fall 2009

Written by Carl on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009 | 2009, fall, fall 2009, kzo, lookbooks/presentations

Los Angeles based label, KZO approached the fall season with the economic climate in mind, but did not let it dominate the direction of the collection. Instead of compromising their vision and trying to make pieces to please everyone, the focus was placed on creating a collection of character. Inspired by naturalist John Muir, the quality-driven collection is dark and rugged.  Gray is the prominent color and the pieces are anything but overworked, having an effortless natural quality.  Embracing a close, but comfortable fit, KZO’s fall collection has the capacity to bring the simple, clean naturalist out in everyone.

KZO x Unholy Matrimony Spring/Fall 2009

SPRING 2009

KZO and Unholy Matrimony’s Brett Westfall have managed to turn out another plaid-crazed collaboration where mixing two dominant plaid prints is not taboo. The collaborative effort is onto something when it comes to pants. The slim cropped pants are an unexpected standout and just the right piece for any fashion-forward wardrobe. Lucky for us, this piece transitions into the fall collection in a much heavier material to join the long john inspired sweats.

KZO Fall 2008

Written by Carl on Wednesday, August 20th, 2008 | 2008, Fall 2008, fall, kzo, lookbooks/presentations

KZO is based out of downtown Los Angeles.  The label was created out of the inability to find clothes with “high attention to details, fabrics, fabrications, fit, global quality, and point of view.”  These details have materialized into a fashion forward clothing line that meshes a certain ruggedness with interesting silhouettes.  Sporting a season appropriate earth toned color palette and individual pieces perfect for the guy that constantly layers, this is a fall collection to pay attention to.
