Spring 2010 | POP cph

Written by Carl on Monday, February 22nd, 2010 | 2010, POP cph, lookbooks/presentations, spring, spring 2010

Light hues of gray and blue signal the spring season for Danish label POP cph. Ultra-relaxed and taking a rest from the party scene, POP cph’s man lounges in such a nonchalant manner that suiting manages to appear as casual as the collection’s graphic tees. The epitome of tidy dressing with an element of youthful bliss, this Danish label continues on a simple but positive streak.

Winter 2009 | POP cph

Written by Carl on Sunday, November 8th, 2009 | 2009, POP cph, fall, fall 2009, lookbooks/presentations

Entering the winter quarter, POP cph ends the year with their fourth collection of 2009. Transitioning into winter, the Danish label gears its intentions towards the holiday scene. When their man is not in a simple tee, he is in a sleek shirt and tie with the option of a blazer. The constant point of focus is being able to look nice without going overboard–playing it low-key, but still maintaining a modest degree of style.

POP cph Fall 2009

Written by Carl on Thursday, July 23rd, 2009 | 2009, POP cph, fall, fall 2009, lookbooks/presentations

When it comes to POP cph, no season is overlooked. A couple weeks back, we took a look at the laid-back summer collection and now the Danish label prepares for fall. The benefit of working on a per season basis is that clothes are not expected to perform beyond their limits. Instead of heavy outerwear for cold winter days, POP cph focuses on the fall essentials that are cool enough for that lingering summer heat, yet warm enough for fall’s highs and lows. The hip collection flourishes with suiting subtly trimmed with metallic as well as fun basics like the Edie Sedgwick tee. With fall out of the way, we cannot wait to see what POP cph has in store for winter.

POP cph Summer 2009

Written by Carl on Friday, June 12th, 2009 | 2009, POP cph, Spring 2009, lookbooks/presentations, spring

Denmark based POP cph is back with another event-ready collection. Playing it cool and easy, their summer collection is perfect for a day at the beach or for later when you have that swanky party uptown to attend. The micro bow tie is optional of course, but what a statement piece.

Life Of The Party – POP cph Spring 2009

Written by Carl on Monday, January 26th, 2009 | 2009, POP cph, Spring 2009, lookbooks/presentations, spring

As one of Denmark’s latest labels, POP cph is not letting the economic troubles of the world dampen their spirits.  The label, famous for its parties in which designers, models, musicians, and ordinary people can interact, is back with its sophomore collection. The basic motivation for all pieces created by POP cph is to channel the inner party-goer in everyone.  The fall collection was perfect for a Friday night out with largely suit separates, but this season, POP cph shows more versatility with everything from knits to swimming trunks. It only makes sense that POP cph would strive to create clothes for every party opportunity.  After all, this collection is inspired by all present and future parties.

POP cph Fall 2008

Written by Carl on Wednesday, November 12th, 2008 | 2008, Fall 2008, POP cph, Runway, fall, lookbooks/presentations

Music. Culture. Style. Club. Fashion.

POP cph embodies it all. Fall 2008 marks POP cph’s first collection.  Prior to this year, POP cph was synonymous with hosting parties where “fashion meets clubbing, underground meets pop culture, designers and models meet common people and cool kids meet old rock and rollers.”  The label has taken this atmosphere to the next level by creating a collection for both sexes that showcases Friday night’s best.
