Prada makes an appearance down under with a dedicated editorial in last month’s issue of GQ Australia. Styled by Jolyon Mason and photographed by Troyt Coburn, Corey Wallace makes great use of Prada’s popular spring 2010 collection, going the distance with great leaps and bounds.
The March issue of GQ Japan embraces a Prada addiction, with an entire spread styled by Kazumi Horiguchi dedicated to the label. Featuring Gerhard Freidl of Wiener Models photographed by Takashi Homma, the editorial portrays the artistic mind that finds a comfortable home with Prada.
In a surprising turn, Prada tapped Chinese artist Yang Fudong to photograph their spring 2010 campaign as well as a short film, which is available on their website. Taking leading roles in Fudong’s striking campaign series this season are Jacob Coupe and Adrien Sahores. Sporting Prada’s spring suiting and mesh if course, the collection is grounded by the reality of the streets, but set apart by the inherent exoticism.
The last two seasons, Miuccia Prada’s vision has dictated an overwhelming presence of studs and mesh. Taking a nostalgic step back, Prada lightens up this season with a retro-inspired collection. Easing away from the color black, coral, yellow, cobalt and orange are introduced to lend Prada’s shrunken knits and doubled collars a peppy spirit. Meanwhile, loafers and pleated trousers complete an unwavering nod to the past.
Photographed by Yang Fudong, Prada goes back to using traditional models for their campaigns with Jacob Coupe leading up eyewear. Meanwhile, Mario Testino shoots Andrea Preti, Sebastian Lund, Thomas Hoefnagels and Vincent Dienst for a D&G campaign that surprisingly has a retro allure.
Fresh off of making a splash with his editorial featuring the boys of DNA Models, photographer Alexander Neumann is recruited for the winter issue of Visual Tales. Here, outfitted in head to toe Prada by John Tan, an extra animated Roy Pratt has no problem drawing in an audience.
