Months back, designer Martyn Bal and musician Erik Hassle came together for the spring 2010 campaign season and now Notion’s current issue reunites the duo for a modest editorial photographed by Ellis Scott. Acting as stylist, Bal outfits Hassle in this season’s range, making sure to incorporate the songwriter’s own clothes as well. Summing up the experience as straightforward, the Bal man is about garments that are at peace in any wardrobe.
A reunion of all sorts takes place for AnOther Man’s spring/summer 2010 issue. Working with photographer Ben Toms and stylist Robbie Spencer once more, Thomas Penfound takes to the cool outdoors for a grand showing of label-driven looks. Decisively dark, structure delivers a somber mix of the adventurous and practical.
Venturing to lands faraway, Gerhard Friedl and Thomas Hoefnagels are photographed by David Slijper for The New York Style Magazine’s spring menswear issue. Taking a cue from widening silhouettes, stylist Robert Rabensteiner gravitates towards belted neutrals for a fusion of colonial and Eastern inspirations.
The mood may be somber for Andreas Larsson’s editorial for the debut issue of L’Officiel Hommes Germany, but stylist Marcus Zietz charms with a display of bold prints and graphics. Set against Larsson’s striking photography, Adrian Wlodarski, Gabriel Grovnik, Jacob Coupe, Tomek Szczukiecki and William Eustace model the artistry of several of fashion’s finest designers from Ann Demeulemeester and Riccardi Tisci to Rei Kawakubo.
Marko Brozic continues his trek through Japan’s various fashion magazines with an editorial in the latest issue of Popeye photographed by Junji Hata. Playing it cool, Marko is styled in head to toe CK Calvin Klein by Tomoki Sukezane, who lends the line a charming worn-in quality.
