The December 2008 issue of American Vogue tackles the larger than life Shakespearean tragedy of love, Romeo & Juliet assisted by the talents of distinguished photographer Annie Leibovitz. Model Coco Rocha plays the Juliet to dancer Roberto Bolle’s Romeo. Bolle, 33 is playing the role of Romeo in the American Ballet Theatre’s upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet.
Trying way too hard to coordinate pieces is a pet peeve of mine. This includes designers, yet this look from Frankie Morello works. Interestingly enough, it works in the editorial, but not on the runway. Personally, I think there is too much going on with the runway ensemble. I dislike sweaters and scarves produced from the same material/colorway, yet this combination of sleeves, a sweater, and a collar does not annoy me terribly. It is a hard look to pull off, but I like it. What do you think?
