Marc Jacobs: The Next Scandal?

Written by Staff on Monday, July 20th, 2009 | 2009, gossip, marc jacobs

As if the scandals in fashion were scheduled to stop–meet Tim Mark Garcia (far left). The PR of Marc Jacobs Men’s Division–but how long will the title last? Garcia and his family face the possibilities of extradition back to their home country. Garcia’s father, Armed Forces of the Philippines General, Carlos F. Garcia, is suspected of stealing close to 6 million dollars in public funds–additionally purchasing a Trump Park Avenue condo in Tim’s name with the stolen funds. Recently arrested then released, Tim fabulously carried on in New York fashion, rumored to have attended several fashion parties with an ankle bracelet on. Oh, the agony! But, what will his future hold?

The New Westwood? No, Not Vivienne

Written by Staff on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009 | 2009, News, gossip

As if we needed another crazy designer–or whom we assume to be – to grace the fashion industry. The offspring of Vivienne Westwood, Ben Westwood–formerly known to us as the “erotic photographer of girls” is taking on menswear, expecting to debut his collection at his brothers, Joe Corres’, new store–A Child Of The Jago in London. Corre, who founded Agent Provocateur, will debut the line whose main competitor will be Andreas Kranthaler–showcasing pants, jackets and shirts–how thrilled we are of this talented family, no?

Marc Jacobs Moving To Milan?

Could it be that Marc Jacobs is actually determined to be the talk of the town at every fashion week worldwide? Quite possible–chatter about Marc Jacobs’ debuting his menswear collection in Versace’s home grounds was insanely active Monday during Dsquared²’s menswear presentation. And an insider who is overlooking Jacobs’ licensing portfolio in the area, dished all–though, he admits it’s not confirmed, it didn’t stop him from expressing the possibilities. Marc Jacobs currently shows his namesake bevy in New York City, and his Louis Vuitton bevy in Paris–is the next stop London for him? And where can we purchase Jacobs’ fashion tour packages?

Dell’Acqua: Stubborn or Fired ?

Written by Staff on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009 | 2009, News, alessandro dell acqua, gossip

Whilst the women’s fashion industry is suffering from the economic hardship of one designer after another, it was only a moment’s notice before one could see the trickle effect enter menswear–or at least view the beginning process. Alessandro Dell’Acqua, whom has done magic throughout the years for both men and women, may be a prime example–months after the designer left the label, Malo. Under unidentified reasons, Dell’Acqua and his parent corporation, Cherry Grove, have come to differences–leading Dell’Acqua to issue a press release noting that he will not be acknowledging the upcoming men’s spring 2010 bevy, nor the women’s resort collection–ergo, he simply submitted the designs, as the company chose to move on without him, nullifying him from final approval. As the mystery unravels, it leaves us all wondering–could the basic looks season after season (of what we really have left), be the next to go in the current economical times? And if so, does that leave room for new and exciting talent?

Jesus Luz : Supermodel or Super Diva ?

Written by Staff on Monday, June 22nd, 2009 | 2009, gossip, jesus luz

Jesus Luz has been making quite a name for himself - since rumors floated of the possibility of him being deported to his home country, by way of lack of work in America – sans his new found deejaying and Madonna’s lavish friends circle, we don’t know where he’d be at this point. However, Madonna’s diva status has rubbed off on the young lad – as it all began when Luz shot the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2009 menswear ad. Fellow participating models have come forth explaining Luz’s inactivity on the set, as he occupied himself with a personal trainer for up to 2+ hours, whilst the rest remained in hair and makeup. How antisocial, Luz – in addition, it’s being reported Luz walked off the set of a foreign television interview when asked about his relationship status. We must say, we like his quick overnight success and attitude – all we need him to do is ride his stern paparazzi face antics until he lands a designing gig with Marc Jacobs. Because, we all know – it could happen. At the snap of Madonna’s fingers, that is !

Hey Mr. Deejay

Whether the industry wants to face it or not, model, Jesus Luz, is here to stay. As, it was rumored that the model could possibly be deported to his home country in due time considering he’s in the US on a visa – it’s possible and highly likely that his beau, Madonna, has prominent words to state  - he’ll be a citizen in no time – or at least here longer then expected. Subsequent to deejaying for the famous, in likes of Marc Jacobs and fiance, Lorenzo Martone, Luz has taken a liking for the side gig – a liking costing Madonna $50K just for equipment for his lessons. And, with this sort of being a job, in the company of good powerful people, we say – what’s next Luz ? Please tell us what’s next.
