Fall 2010 | Marc Jacobs

Written by Carl on Friday, February 5th, 2010 | 2010, adrian bosch, fall, fall 2010, lookbooks/presentations, marc jacobs

A playful mix of quirky proportions and serious colors take the latest Marc Jacobs collection by storm. When sharp tailoring is not embraced for a strong presentation of outerwear and suiting, the silhouette is let out for relaxed pleated trousers or left in chaos for a nod to Jacobs’ infamous kilts.

Fashion Week by Berns | Cheap Monday Fall ‘10

Written by Carl on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 | 2010, Kristian Akegren, Runway, adrian bosch, charlie westerberg, cheap monday, fall, fall 2010, fashion week by berns, linus gustin, max barreau, wiktor hansson

With an apocalypse in mind, Cheap Monday’s fall 2010 showing included a somber sea of black and gray, as the label played it safe with their signature snug fit. Keeping it ultra-casual with boat-necks, tonal patched sweatshirts and conservative outerwear, designer Ann-Sofie Back relied on Cheap Monday’s short history and a fondness for knits to get her minimal point across.

Paris Fashion Week | Lanvin Fall 2010

Written by Carl on Sunday, January 24th, 2010 | 2010, Runway, adrian bosch, adrien sahores, aiden andrews, alex dunstan, alexander johansson, anthon wellsjo, benoni loos, callum wilson, charlie france, fall, fall 2010, felix schopgens, jakob hybholt, jeremy young, johannes linder, lanvin, paris fashion week, philipp bierbaum, rob rae, robbie wadge, rutger derksen, thomas penfound, zdenek

Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz explained that the latest collection from the French fashion house took its inspirations from the street, looking to the style of everyday people for motivation. Developing this theme, designer Lucas Ossendrijver turned to a smart mix of both low-key and luxe pieces. Balancing the fitted with the relaxed, the collection looked to slouchy knits, lived-in trousers, functional outerwear and cinched waists for a subtle wardrobe update. Rounded out in a primary color palette with a hint of autumn, the collection is deserving of praise for its construction and effortless silhouettes.
