London Fashion Week | Paul Costelloe Fall 2010

Written by Carl on Monday, February 22nd, 2010 | 2010, Runway, adrien brunier, collections, fall, fall 2010, london fashion week

An array of various motifs, from nomad to grunge come together for Paul Costelloe’s fall 2010 collection. Constructing a range of dramatic proportions, the collection is intensely ecclectic, but bodes well for the man who likes to mix it up and have fun with his wardrobe. While suiting provides for a serious tone with a strong presence supported by striking long visuals, capes, shirting and accessories provide the collection with a dark, but whimsical quality.

London Fashion Week | DAKS Fall 2010

Written by Carl on Saturday, February 20th, 2010 | 2010, Runway, adrien brunier, daks, fall, fall 2010, johannes linder, london fashion week

A somber palette of black and gray overtake the latest collection from DAKS. Blending a touch of refinement with the strength of a modest militaristic undertaking, the collection shapes up nicely with a tight run of outerwear and suiting separates.

Paris Fashion Week | Qasimi Fall 2010

Written by Carl on Sunday, January 24th, 2010 | 2010, Runway, adrien brunier, bastiaan ninaber, fall, fall 2010, marlon teixeira, paris fashion week, patrick kafka, qasimi, rob rae, wendell lissimore

Relatively new label Qasimi offers their man a boxy fall season with a deconstruction of the classic suit. Blending luxury with an urban appeal, sleek v-necklines are paired with knits, while chunky, voluminous knits double as outerwear. Meanwhile a larger upper proportion is balanced with fitted pants and sleek combat boots. Altogether, Qasimi creative director H.H. Khalid bin Sultan AlQasimi’s attractive fall showing reflects an unwavering flirtation with luxury and modernity.

Paris Fashion Week | John Galliano Fall 2010

Written by Carl on Friday, January 22nd, 2010 | 2010, Runway, adrien brunier, alex dunstan, arthur kulkov, charlie westerberg, christian brylle, cole mohr, fall, fall 2010, francisco lachowski, john galliano, mathias bergh, nicolas ripoll, nils butler, paris fashion week, patrick kafka, paul boche, philip huang, philipp bierbaum, scott barnhill, simon nessman, stéphane olivier, taylor fuchs, thomas hoefnagels, vladimir ivanov

Inspired by the legendary character of Sherlock Holmes, the latest collection from John Galliano takes us to the dark mysterious streets of England before venturing East for a colorful alternative. Infusing an English sensibility with his eccentric vision, Galliano gives traditional suiting and outerwear a generous punch in volume before offering up a colorful array of sporty skin-baring numbers. From mandarin collars and billowing floral embellished trousers to the proper gray suit, Galliano crafts yet another conceptual collection that delivers equal parts fantasy and practicability.
