Using the world as his stage, AJ Abualrub takes on a wide array of labels with the assistance of stylist Stevie Westgarth. Photographed by David Benjamin Sherry for spring’s AnOther Man issue, AJ remains ever the star, whether lounging in bed or taking to a restroom for that unusual shot.

Crafted from necessity and styled with an understated sophistication, the latest menswear collection from Elie Tahari treads a careful narrative of blacks and grays. Taking to a tonal play of geometric shapes, the range moves functional all-occasion outerwear, when it is not aggressively pursuing sleek tailored suiting. Altogether enveloping a modest sense of luxury, the Elie Tahari man balances a modern confidence with a refined affection for the classics.

Enlisting several of the industry’s most prominent talents, Perry Ellis staged their show yesterday, sending out a sea of comfortable, but luxe wardrobe staples. Based in hues of burgundy, gray, teal and navy, the range enveloped a lifestyle in lieu of pushing for innovation. Capturing diverse facets in the day of a life of the Perry Ellis man, the collection moved seamlessly between relaxed knits and trousers to rich outerwear cut from striking fabrics.

This season, Gant recruited designer Michael Bastian for Gant by Michael Bastian. Viewing the range as the wardrobe of “the younger brother to the Michael Bastian guy”, the designer’s collection was inspired by lacrosse and Gant’s archives. Going for a casual vibe, the laidback collection was showcased during a presentation, where models gathered in a locker room to shoot the breeze. Including everything from knitwear and khakis to mesh shorts, Bastian’s Gant outing was the timeless marriage of prep and jock.

Never losing sight of the future, Calvin Klein continues on a narrow path, focusing energy on the evolution of the suit. For Calvin Klein, this means sheen, synthetic fabrics and heavy-handed silhouettes. While suiting takes on a boxy fit, ribbed sportswear adds texture and exaggerated proportions are explored for memorable outerwear. Cold and distant, the Calvin Klein man is complicated, but his approach to the fall season is simple–the goal is structure, a little flash and a penchant for tomorrow’s trends.
