Viva Models provides the all-star talent for SOPOPULAR’s highly anticipated fall 2010 lookbook. Photographed by Stefan Heinrichs, Cole Mohr is joined by Jakob Wiechmann this season. Sporting distinct hairstyles and exuding a natural cool, the duo’s new look represents the new direction of SOPOPULAR. Moving towards a more refined look, the Berlin-based label turns to hues of gray as they experiment with tailored looks that lend themselves to a more organic reinterpretation.
The most recent lookbook from Ballantyne features Jakob Wiechmann. Bright and chipper, spring’s collection looks to the frequent traveler for inspiration, crafting accessible ensembles from light-weight knits, shorts and relaxed trousers. Rounding out the collection in fun 70s inspired abstract prints, the Ballantyne man turns out to be the ideal image of preppy at the beach.
Additional images have surfaced from SOPOPULAR’s somber fall outing. Photographed by Stefan Heinrichs, Cole Mohr and Jakob Wiechmann adhere to the same image that much like the new range, balances youth with a new found maturity.
Standing out in stark black and white, the latest collection from Blaak Homme designers Sachiko Okada and Aaron Sharif turns to the church for inspiration. While the oversize rosary and crown of thorns make for controversial pieces of discussion, robe-inspired proportions take minimal design in a striking direction. Avoiding any great use of volume, a certain lightness is achieved where Okada and Sharif fashion a dynamic wardrobe that can be dressed up or down and applied to the year’s seasons at large.
Dries Van Noten sent a graphic parade down the runway earlier today with detailed piping and larger than life prints making quite the statement. Riding an influx of color and excitement, Dries Van Noten interjected men’s suiting with great personality. From dressed down sweats-styled trousers and bold electric blue separates to contrasting inserts, Van Noten’s man proved to be the life of the party. Bridging the gap between modest and playful, the collection executed a well-balanced turn at a personable collection for the man of all occasions.
Berlin-based label SOPOPULAR is transitioning into preparation mode for the fall 2010 season, in which they will be testing new ground with a collection rooted in hues of gray. Recruiting Cole Mohr for the third consecutive season, the Viva model is joined this time around by Jakob Wiechmann for a moody shoot photographed by Stefan Heinrichs.
