Odyn Vovk’s fall runway show is set for February 12, 2010 and will showcase designer Austin Sherbanenko’s latest collection entitled “The Three Fold Path”. The culmination of instinct, body and mind, the new collection is best illustrated by preview lookbook images of Tony Ward photographed by Kurt Mangum. A tragic figure of a boom town turned ghost town, Tony wears a wardrobe that at one point had great structure and order. However, over time with age, the garments became fragments of what they once were–gradually deconstructed, broken-in, worn down. In essence, the most recent range represents a more casual Odyn Vovk that draws from organic inspirations in term of silhouette, drape and function.
Photographed by Petrovsky & Ramone, Tony Ward takes up his former occupation once more, modeling Wrangler Blue Bell’s latest range of blue denim that takes its preppy influences from the heritage of 1950’s denim. Taking on workwear, Ward has the ideal persona that effectively conveys the range’s nostalgic, but modern attitude.
VMAN issue #16 comes out tomorrow. Paying tribute to a distinct generation of models, Josh Olins photographs Alex Lundqvist, Brad Kroenig, Joel West, Marcus Schenkenberg, RJ Rogenski, Tony Ward and Tyson Ballou. Styled by Jay Massacret, the cast represents mature modeling legends that represent a class of firsts like Marcus Schenkenberg and stars in recent years like Tyson Ballou.
