Designer Robert Geller has worked with Greg Armas of Assembly to launch a new store called the Key Shop. Located in New York City at 129 Rivington Street, the store will carry Geller’s full line alongside limited items, Assembly New York’s collection, vintage jewelry, artwork and literature. Shaping up to be the ideal location to showcase Geller’s favorite pieces that do not necessarily make their way to stores, the shop will also host interactive workshops such as learning how to craft boutonnieres. Key Shop opens April 15, 2010 with store hours of noon to 9:00 p.m.

Yves Saint Laurent creative director Stefano Pilati has created a special seventeen-piece spring 2010 collection for Atelier New York. Dark and anti-fit, the exclusive range fits right in with Atelier’s usual offerings, which include Ann Demeulemeester, Julius, Damir Doma and Rick Owens.

Hoping to appeal to a broader audience, John Galliano has developed a diffusion line that packages his signature theatrics with a great variety of colorful pieces. Describing the new line as pure Galliano, the designer adds “It is inspired by the attitude and anarchy of the London rock scene. It’s a very urban attitude. It shares the same DNA as John Galliano Homme. It is quirky, cool, streetwise.”

Levi’s and Opening Ceremony, both labels who are no strangers to collaborations are teaming up for a line for both men and women. Launching during New York Fashion Week, the range will include pants, shorts and jackets fashioned out of corduroy, available in several colorways including fushia, lavender, olive and white. The collection is expected to be the first of many collaborations between the two labels and more is to be seen at a later date with the release of a lookbook photographed by Ryan McGinley. (WWD)
