She has traveled into the night. Through her friends dreams. Through their memories and through their moments of excitement. Through a forest of palm trees, clouds of bats, fields of oats and horizons that separates the earth from eternity, she returns and emerges in the light. With her she brings sparKLING night, - a collection for your most special spring and summer moments.” [Kling by Kling]

Meet Karolina Kling

Kling by Kling was founded in 2006 and since its beginning, graphic design has been an integral element. Having a background in Graphic Design herself, “London based Swede” designer, Karolina Kling approaches her collection “as a graphic and product designer, rather than a fashion designer. Looking at fashion as if the fabric is just another substitute of a 3D medium with patterns and illustrations, rather than flat just images.” Kling’s work as a graphic designer is perfectly illustrated in her latest collection, “SparKLING Night”. Kling’s spring collection is based in the translation of dreams into graphic prints.

Infusing traditional menswear pieces with their point of view, while paying close attention to tailoring, in one season, QED has taken their label from high-end street to ultra chic. Founded in 2006 by Julia Böge, Simona Gabrieli and Jasmin Moallim, “Quod Erat Demonstrandum, shortened to QED” is based out of Berlin. The three designers met while in school and instantly bonded over their love for the color black, but also appreciated each others differences. “Due to the three personalities working on the collections, QED creates a unique mixture between minimalism and playfulness, exquisitely detailed, subtly extravagant, yet very wearable and high in quality.”

Tse Spring 2009

“The focus of the Tse Men Spring 2009 collection is on existing in a state of flux in nature, while creating intimacy and emotional sensations by embracing technology.

Conventionally, a sense of stability has been associated with nature while the rapid change of technology has been seen as disruptive to its vulnerability/intimacy. Spring, however, celebrates technical stimulus and at the same time a need for protection and preparedness in nature.

This is manifested through voluminous protective shapes such as oversized anoraks and cardigans as well as loungewear shapes such as sweat pants and thin, comfortable tops with Henley neck details.”

Question & Answer

Question: What are the positives and negatives of the new Dior Homme campaign?

Answer:

Positives.

1. Karl Lagerfeld as photographer.

2. Marlon in front of the camera.

Negatives.

1. Kris Van Assche behind the scenes. Rubbish.

Complimentary Resolution for Kris.

Do not fail. The laser treatment and gems are not working. Move towards a more cohesive sophisticated look. Create the modern dandy while standing apart from the rest. One more chance Kris.  One more * chance.
