Un Apres Midi, L’ete–Allure models Silviu Tolu and Mihai Dobre embrace the mood of the spring 2012 collection of Twenty(2)too with a new film by Tibi Clenci. Elegant and graceful, the pair elevate the art of movement. / View the spring collection in its entirety here.

& Pieces are Added–For his fourth collection, Kevin Azzopardi examines creative control. In a world that seems built on outsourcing and globalization, Azzopardi implements tactics in his spring 2012 collection, composed of two toned trousers, scarves, jumpers and draped tops that allow him more input on the end product of the pieces. During the factory production of the garments, Azzopardi halted the factories and asked them to send the pieces back to him. After receiving tops with unjoined shoulders, trousers in two parts and jackets in fragments, he bonded all of the pieces himself, retaining control of the final step in the production process.
In The Darkness–Established in the summer of 2010, American-born design duo Dave Fryer and Seth Bullough of Mörkna continue to expand the boundaries of their androgynous label in the dark. Reducing minimalism to its core, the paradigm of focus shifts to the deconstructed silhouette of quiet layering and romantic drapery in somber fabrications.

HL Heritage–For the fall 2011 season, HL Jeans reinterprets the Henri Lloyd heritage in a youthful color blocked collection, modeled by Joshua Bell and Select’s Jake Cooper. Featuring knitwear by way of chunky cardigans and fairisyle knits, the brand is keen to stay on trend with its strong outerwear. Heritage comes to the forefront in the details of the pieces, as in the clasps of a sailing jacket or the buoyancy loop details. For trousers the brand offers a variety of denim styles like the five-pocket slim fit Bradley Raw as well as chinos.

ARCH+YPE–Presenting his graduate collection at the College of Applied Arts Schneeberg, entitled Archetype, designer Steffen Topp leaves an everlasting impression with his debut. Fusing elements from different eras and styles with a focus on tailoring, the hybrid designs spawn a strong lineup of leather jackets, slim shirting and sharp outerwear with modern executions and fabrications, complemented by the masculine monochromatic palette. / Model Mattias Siebert photographed by Tom Zylla.

Sporty Edge–White haired Thomas Penfound makes use of his angles in the new lookbook for Hussein Chalayan and PUMA’s fall collaboration. In pieces blanketed in a neutral color palette, the d1 model appears amid tinted plates of glass in hoodies, jackets and gray trousers.
