Conference of Birds Fall 2009

Con­fer­ence of Birds is def­i­nitely a label to watch. With designer Andrew Holden at the helm, a sub­tle lux­ury is brought to the table with each sea­son appear­ing stronger than the last. This upcom­ing sea­son, Holden stares the reces­sion down with a grandeur col­lec­tion inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” Moss, char­coal, claret and rust color the entic­ing col­lec­tion, most notably marked by its use of heavy wool knits. The col­lec­tion demon­strates a vision finely exe­cuted and eas­ily trans­lated to the real world. Pro­vid­ing a nice mix of out­er­wear, suit­ing, and day­wear, Con­fer­ence of Birds’ fall col­lec­tion is per­fect “for the sar­to­ri­ally savvy gen­tle­man and his alter-​​ego.”
