Burberry Prorsum’s pre-fall collection may have solidifed a military motif that provided the tame design aesthetic the house is known for, but the main attraction takes the label in a new direction. Playing to Burberry’s strengths in outerwear, chief creative officer Christopher Bailey maintains a keen sense of tailoring, while progressing silhouettes to include the exaggerated variety that demonstrate showmanship and markers of a memorable season. With dramatic upturned collars, lush fabrics, rich colors and standing officers at command, Bailey reinvigorates a love for Burberry. Meanwhile, textured knits and arresting boots make a final lasting impression.
