A Personality–Infusing everyday wear with glamour, John Richmond put on quite the show for the fall/winter 2012 season. In a world of his own, Richmond’s man hit the catwalk with the utmost style, impressing in varied garments, ranging from treated denim to luxe evening jackets. Sparing no expense, leather, fur and other fabrications accented menswear staples with the parka, duffle coat as well as other signature pieces making an appearance. Encompassing the wide spectrum of style, tees to printed jackets made a strong impact. Whether playing it low-key in a black number or drawing attention with intensive print work, John Richmond revealed a season of desired elegance.

Style Synergy–Italian label Iceberg calls upon heavy knits for a season where the mood is light and the attitude laid-back. Donning relaxed trousers, the men of Iceberg strolled down the catwalk, layered in lightweight knits and outerwear. From lush speckled sweaters to chunky oversize cardigans, the label showcased a season of convenience. Interchangeable in every sense, the collection carried the same ease from casual daywear to more polished wears, furnished from leather and finished with a tuxedo.

Sartorial Layering–Daniele Alessandrini looks to smart layering for the fall/winter 2012 season. Taking the twinset and reinterpreting it for outerwear, clever jackets remain light-weight but warm with a blanket lining. Subtly mixing prints, an autumn landscape contributes to the image of a man on the go with suiting and casualwear blending together for one cohesive wardrobe. From the strong field jacket to classics like the duffle coat, Daniele Alessandrini remains relevant for the modern man with an offering of tradition and trend.

Structurally Sound–Designer Italo Zucchelli delivers another technical lineup for Calvin Klein Collection’s fall/winter 2012 season. Combining elements of relaxed tailoring with a sporty attitude, long boxy silhouettes distinguish outerwear, cut from leather and nylon. Insulated for the cold, quilted jackets join a range of layered short-sleeved tops, paired with sweaters. Dressed with geometric graphics, the collection eventually makes a departure from the modern classics for an edgy touch of leather, adorning pants and blazer jackets for a strong finish.

The Art of Racing–Brazilian race car driver Ayrton Senna served as the muse of designer Thom Browne’s latest collection for Moncler Gamme Bleu. Lending his quirky creations a new dimension, yellow, red and white dressed an entertaining wardrobe, fit for the spectator. Starting the show with padded jumpsuits and moving towards shrunken tailored garments, cheerful suiting separates championed Browne’s race car driver. Eventually arriving at his signature palette of gray and navy, volume-induced jackets, long coats as well as layered cold-weather essentials completed another season of fun for the beloved designer.

Inducing Power–Staging a grand affair for the fall/winter 2012 season, Miuccia Prada looked to the power found in dress for the season’s inspiration. Featuring a star-studded cast that included actors Adrien Brody, Gary Oldman and Jamie Bell, the power of influence was in no short supply. Somber and constrained, striped numbers opened the show with Prada executing a degree of simplicity, sending out double-breasted coats, at times layered in pairs. Complete with pocket ornaments, the distinguished lineup branched out to familiar silhouettes of seasons past before taking a moment for the epitome of leisure. Cut like a fine dressing gown, the basis of elegance for the collection was reinforced and executed to the final look with a grand cast of characters.
