“Hallowed Ground” — KZO Fall 2009

Los Ange­les based label, KZO approached the fall sea­son with the eco­nomic cli­mate in mind, but did not let it dom­i­nate the direc­tion of the col­lec­tion. Instead of com­pro­mis­ing their vision and try­ing to make pieces to please every­one, the focus was placed on cre­at­ing a col­lec­tion of char­ac­ter. Inspired by nat­u­ral­ist John Muir, the quality-​​driven col­lec­tion is dark and rugged.  Gray is the promi­nent color and the pieces are any­thing but over­worked, hav­ing an effort­less nat­ural qual­ity.  Embrac­ing a close, but com­fort­able fit, KZO’s fall col­lec­tion has the capac­ity to bring the sim­ple, clean nat­u­ral­ist out in everyone.
