Band-​​ache–Enlist­ing a sil­hou­ette that mar­ries draped fab­rics to a more strict tai­lored coun­ter­part, Heikki Salo­nen embarks on a rebel­lious jour­ney for the fall/​winter 2012 sea­son. Along for the voy­age are ref­er­ences, rang­ing from the eigh­teenth cen­tury anar­chist move­ment to east­ern philoso­phies. Blend­ing together an eclec­tic style dia­logue, Heikki Salo­nen cre­ates a tapes­try of youth and power. Loose shirt­ing with frayed hems join bil­low­ing trousers, tied at the ankle with twine. Mean­while patches tap into a punk atti­tude along­side a per­verted ele­gance, employ­ing a rusted ani­mal print for extra notice.
