Today’s Prep–J.Crew head designer Frank Muyt­jens looked to the paint­ings of Fair­field Porter and Rauschen­berg as the inspi­ra­tion of his lat­est col­lec­tion for the label. Mix­ing var­i­ous hues of the same color for inter­est­ing ensem­bles, the new range blended Porter’s fresh col­ors with the tac­tual knack of Rauschen­berg. From mil­i­taris­tic pieces, updated from the archives or func­tional clas­sics such as the two-​​button suit, J.Crew enjoyed spring efforts, com­plete with reversed prints, youth­ful cuts and a new-​​age timelessness.
