Just Cavalli Fall 2009

Roberto Cavalli’s col­lec­tions tend to be overindul­gent when it comes to swatch selec­tions and embell­ish­ments. How­ever, in a sur­pris­ing turn, these typ­i­cal char­ac­ter­is­tics are toned down for Just Cavalli’s fall col­lec­tion. Off­set­ting the collection’s flashier num­bers are grounded pieces, con­cerned more with design than atten­tion grab­bing outer appear­ances. Hum­ble and hon­est, chunky knits and sleek suit­ing look great amongst Cavalli’s usual range of busy prints and var­ied denim washes. It almost begs you to won­der what Cav­alli would cre­ate if forced to com­mit to a min­i­mal season.
