Falling Leaves–Berlin-based label Anntian turns to the natural occurrences of fall to color their palette for the upcoming season. Enlisting photographer Johanna Ruebel to shoot Pierre Becker for their lookbook, a loose-fitting wardrobe of slouchy pants and knitwear come together in gorgeous autumn hues. Covered in a tapestry of printed leaves and furnished in easy fabrics, a romantic outing provides for a comfortable fall/winter 2012 season.

Whereas Anntian’s fall collection fell in line with a dark season, the label experiences an awakening in spirits with their upcoming spring outing. Entitled Ocean View, the latest collection looks to calming spring hues to paint a picture of natural-based colors and the ease that comes with healthy living. Carefree and drawing creative energy from tropical fruits, a relaxed wardrobe of loose silhouettes come together, dressed in the Berlin label’s signature prints. Mixing and matching everything from shoes and fabrics to the colorful patterns furnished for the season, Anntian effortlessly delivers yet another charming collection.

Entitled “Walk the Light”, fall’s collection from Berlin-based label Anntian turns to a rustic orange to paint a portrait of a somewhat clumsy, but comforting range. Embracing a lived-in quality with great character, designers Anne Hilken and Christian Kurt delve into an endless array of prints and patterns to dress their ultra-relaxed silhouettes. Altogether casual, but distinct in its vision, the latest from Anntian delivers a smart array of both functional and stylish garments.

The whimsical patterns and prints of Berlin-based label Anntian get a fresh perspective when styled by Bodo Ernle (Nina Klein) for the latest issue of Sport & Street magazine. Featuring Michel Philippe of Viva Models photographed by Dale Grant, the spring range continues to read both creative and practical against the contrast of graffiti lined streets.

Approaching the spring season, Anntian duo Anne Hilken and Christian Kurt up the ante once more, reinterpreting their signature mix of patterns in a light easygoing collection. Balancing oversize looks with expert draping, the range takes on comfort and style in one go. Dressed in a combination of stripes and sponged prints, simple slouchy tees and trousers take a backseat to great jackets and knits. From an organic origin of creativity, Hilken and Kurt once again deliver a range that is both special and unique.

Anne Hilken and Christian Kurt’s label Anntian has a certain type of magic that is difficult to find in most labels. Season after season, the Berlin based design duo turn out collections that exhibit a heightened sense of personality that echo the sentiments of a creative spirit. It is this creative personality embodied by the clothes that distinguishes Anntian from others. In the same vein of appreciating creativity and the individuality that it nurtures, Hilken and Kurt use their fall collection to open a dialogue about subjects of directives. The collection takes a stance against directives by engaging the arena of freedom that allows for one’s own direction. The space that allows free expression is best exhibited by the interplay of various patterns and colorways. This interplay allows for an endearing collection of color and personality. In a monochromatic sea of darkness, Anntian offers a colorful alternative this fall, while you hold the directive.
