Sar­to­r­ial Bliss–Anto­nio Azzuolo ramps up the glam­our for the spring 2012 sea­son, play­ing to his dap­per strengths. Tak­ing refined suit­ing, relax­ing the sil­hou­ettes and inter­ject­ing casual sep­a­rates into the lineup, Azzuolo showed that his men can be among a clas­sic gen­er­a­tion, while still remain­ing youth­ful. From short-​​sleeved knits and baggy suit­ing shorts with raw edges to sleeve­less jack­ets, the col­lec­tion main­tained a cer­tain light­ness, hav­ing fun with a sar­to­r­ial flair.

Antonio Azzuolo Fall 2011

Lux­ury Sport–Bring­ing together the dap­per finesse of the dandy with the util­i­tar­ian atti­tude of ath­letic wear, the col­lid­ing inspi­ra­tions spawn a sports­wear col­lec­tion of charm and humor at Anto­nio Azzu­lou. Clas­sic sta­ples in the likes of slim-​​cut blaz­ers and crew neck sweaters are given a mod­ern twist with snow white lamb fur trim­mings and cheeky graphic prints, while the glam­orous and luxe qual­ity is jux­ta­posed with the rugged offer­ings of wind­break­ers and trench coats. Enchant­ing hues of turquoise, orange, red and royal blue fill the Sée­berger Broth­ers inspired col­lec­tion with a con­tem­po­rary touch and elegance.

A myr­iad of inspi­ra­tions come together for quite the dap­per spring show­ing from Anto­nio Azzuolo. Prim and proper with sharp fit­ted blaz­ers and knick­ers, Azzuolo fur­nished a strap­ping young gen­tle­man before turn­ing his atten­tion to sports­wear. Work­ing with shrink­ing pro­por­tions and color, scholas­tic looks came together that blended the well-​​rounded ath­lete with a touch of con­tem­po­rary elegance.

New York Fashion Week | Antonio Azzuolo

Leav­ing his dandy behind, Anto­nio Azzuolo takes a trip west this fall. Com­bin­ing quirky knits with suit­ing sep­a­rates, Azzuolo breaks with struc­ture and shows a more casual side for a change. Going the way of unex­pected, the col­lec­tion evokes a retro vibe in favor of the excite­ment pro­vided by a sec­ond life and new uses. Also tip­ping the scales in favor of trends, leg­gings find their way into the col­lec­tion, being paired with suit­ing trousers. Alto­gether, fall’s col­lec­tion brings together an unusual group­ing of aes­thet­ics that will prove to either be a hit or miss.

Spring 2010 | Antonio Azzuolo

Suit­ing is Anto­nio Azzuolo’s exper­tise, but who knew he could have such fun with it. The dap­per prone aes­thetic gets an update for spring with “the eternal-​​youth com­plex per­son­i­fied by the sub­dued ver­sion of the Glam Rock-​​persona of David Bowie.” Azzuolo light­ens the mood with bursts of bright col­ors and suit­ing shorts that break up the monot­ony of the typ­i­cal suit. He even goes as far as to ven­ture into the ter­ri­tory of over­size knits and bleached shorts – but only for a hot sec­ond. Con­tin­u­ing on this path, that even­tual run­way show will be worth the wait.

Antonio Azzuolo Fall 2008

Pic­tured are my four favorite looks from the Anto­nio Azzuolo fall col­lec­tion.  I love the dap­per styling and gigan­tic eye­glasses.  I actu­ally need glasses to see and not just for pur­poses of fash­ion.  I own a pair of ridicu­lous over­sized eye­glasses and I love them so much that they will have to be either 1) pried from my dead hands or 2) break first; prob­a­bly the latter.
