Sartorial Bliss–Antonio Azzuolo ramps up the glamour for the spring 2012 season, playing to his dapper strengths. Taking refined suiting, relaxing the silhouettes and interjecting casual separates into the lineup, Azzuolo showed that his men can be among a classic generation, while still remaining youthful. From short-sleeved knits and baggy suiting shorts with raw edges to sleeveless jackets, the collection maintained a certain lightness, having fun with a sartorial flair.

Luxury Sport–Bringing together the dapper finesse of the dandy with the utilitarian attitude of athletic wear, the colliding inspirations spawn a sportswear collection of charm and humor at Antonio Azzulou. Classic staples in the likes of slim-cut blazers and crew neck sweaters are given a modern twist with snow white lamb fur trimmings and cheeky graphic prints, while the glamorous and luxe quality is juxtaposed with the rugged offerings of windbreakers and trench coats. Enchanting hues of turquoise, orange, red and royal blue fill the Séeberger Brothers inspired collection with a contemporary touch and elegance.

A myriad of inspirations come together for quite the dapper spring showing from Antonio Azzuolo. Prim and proper with sharp fitted blazers and knickers, Azzuolo furnished a strapping young gentleman before turning his attention to sportswear. Working with shrinking proportions and color, scholastic looks came together that blended the well-rounded athlete with a touch of contemporary elegance.

Leaving his dandy behind, Antonio Azzuolo takes a trip west this fall. Combining quirky knits with suiting separates, Azzuolo breaks with structure and shows a more casual side for a change. Going the way of unexpected, the collection evokes a retro vibe in favor of the excitement provided by a second life and new uses. Also tipping the scales in favor of trends, leggings find their way into the collection, being paired with suiting trousers. Altogether, fall’s collection brings together an unusual grouping of aesthetics that will prove to either be a hit or miss.

Suiting is Antonio Azzuolo’s expertise, but who knew he could have such fun with it. The dapper prone aesthetic gets an update for spring with “the eternal-youth complex personified by the subdued version of the Glam Rock-persona of David Bowie.” Azzuolo lightens the mood with bursts of bright colors and suiting shorts that break up the monotony of the typical suit. He even goes as far as to venture into the territory of oversize knits and bleached shorts – but only for a hot second. Continuing on this path, that eventual runway show will be worth the wait.
Pictured are my four favorite looks from the Antonio Azzuolo fall collection. I love the dapper styling and gigantic eyeglasses. I actually need glasses to see and not just for purposes of fashion. I own a pair of ridiculous oversized eyeglasses and I love them so much that they will have to be either 1) pried from my dead hands or 2) break first; probably the latter.
