LCFM Alumni Set Their Sights on London Fashion Week

Three’s Com­pany–Slated to receive their due respect, Lon­don Fash­ion Week kicks off this June, imme­di­ately fol­low­ing fash­ion weeks in Milan and Paris with menswear tak­ing cen­ter stage. Cham­pi­oning alumni tal­ent, the Lon­don Col­lege of Fash­ion Presents Emerg­ing Tal­ent at Lon­don Col­lec­tions: Men. Hit­ting the cat­walk are Asger Juel Larsen, Mat­teo Moli­nari and Domingo Rodriguez, show­cas­ing their spring/​summer 2013 col­lec­tions. In addi­tion, acces­sories designer Oliver Ruuger will have an instal­la­tion. The alumni show on Fri­day, June 15, 2012 at the Royal Soci­ety of Arts, will see i-​​D fash­ion edi­tor Elgar John­son at the helm of styling.

Lucid Dis­or­der–Jens Stoltze pho­tographs Asger Juel Larsen’s new fall/​winter 2012 look­book, cap­tur­ing mod­els Sophus Abra­ham (2pm), Mounier Baraki (Unique) and Linus Von Rose­nauer. Opt­ing for a more tai­lored look than usual, the London-​​based designer looks East for inspi­ra­tion, envi­sion­ing a new uni­form for his man. Cast in navy, black and red, win­ter wools pro­vide great warmth. Cut over­size and fea­tur­ing details like lay­ered lapels, out­er­wear, rang­ing from the pea­coat to over­coat make a sharp appear­ance. Mean­while, bring­ing the youth­ful vigor one has come to expect from Larsen, light­weight tops are length­ened and fur­nished with askew zip­pers. /​ Assis­tance by Katja Kolle and Melissa Bech Madsen.
