Classic. Clean. Provocative. There are simply no better words to describe the iconic brand, Calvin Klein. Founded in 1968, the American label became a household name in the 80′s with its racy and controversial marketing campaigns for their denim and underwear line. Many accredit supermodel Kate Moss’s rise to fame to her lucrative deal with Calvin Klein’s Obsession campaign in the early 90′s. Some of their iconic campaigns featured stars such as a 15 year-old Brooke Shields and Mark Wahlberg. The label was ultimately sold to Phillips-Van Heusen in 2003 and Francisco Costa was appointed the new creative director for womenswear and Italo Zucchelli for menswear. Costa’s new collections have been well received by both critics and fashion lovers. Beyond jeans, underwear and fragrances, Calvin Klein has expanded the label into home products and accessories.
