Whether sheer, bil­low­ing or draped, Com­plex Geome­tries finds the magic in a col­lec­tion of linens and silks alike. Fea­tur­ing the con­tri­bu­tions of Ghana design­ers Osei-​​Duro and footwear designer LDTut­tle, the new lineup envelops relax­ing days at the beach with batiks and a light color palette, accented by metal­lic moments.

Evok­ing cer­e­mo­nial imagery, Com­plex Geome­tries embarks on a jour­ney for the fall 2010 sea­son in search of truth. A mix of loose con­ceal­ing sil­hou­ettes and reveal­ing fab­rics, the lat­est out­ing plays tongue in cheek with a dark sen­si­bil­ity. From hooded jack­ets and knit leg­gings to elon­gated sheer num­bers, Com­plex Geome­tries con­tin­ues a focused vision, while offer­ing a selec­tion of indi­vid­ual pieces that pos­sess enough char­ac­ter to shake up any wardrobe this com­ing fall.

Spring 2010 | Complex Geometries

Light and easy­go­ing are two appro­pri­ate ways to describe the lat­est col­lec­tion from Com­plex Geome­tries designer Clay­ton Evans. Tak­ing a sim­pler approach to this season’s con­cept, Evans was inspired by the idea of “per­pet­ual leisure”. Pon­der­ing a future where leisure is eter­nal, Evans fash­ions his own casual uni­form. From loose fit­ting pants to open cardi­gans and reveal­ing cutouts, Evans sets about cre­at­ing uni­sex pieces that aim for the same com­fort as paja­mas, but if course with his own unique style and per­spec­tive. Not afraid to go sheer on more than one occa­sion, the col­lec­tion is a great mix of gar­ments that are ready to layer amongst them­selves or the wardrobe of their per­spec­tive buyers.
