Out of the main fashion seasons, I have to say that fall/winter is my favorite season. Luckily for me, somewhere world-wide, fall is always around the corner or in season. That thought brings me to Darko’s fall collection. The label’s designer, Daniel Hernandez has taken the collection in a completely different direction when compared to the recent spring collection. Whereas I complimented the spring collection for unorthodox pastels, this collection returns to Darko’s gritty dark roots with a palette of black and gray. Notable pieces include the leather hoodie and gray bag.
Welcome to the fifth season of D A R K O.
This season the label is going back to grass roots and exploring the epitomy of what is D A R K O. Touching on the essence of the darkness that reigned in the first season, this collection consists of greys, blacks, charcoals and some subtle prints. The new ready-to-wear feel will take you anywhere from hanging with friends to more lavish cocktail parties.
The Autumn/Winter 09 Collection delves into variety of leathers, Australian denim, Australian cotton and Japanese silks. With an androgynous twist, garments suit both males and females. Our accessories this season include street-smart accessories, bags, and jewellery. With a High Street edge, our attention to detail delivers a romantic twist for the fashion forward.
You are officially invited to embrace the latest in store from the darkness:

Enjoy.

Darko’s spring collection is very laid back with wide neck lines, light colors, and nice comfortable pieces that are perfect for warm weather. I like the slightly cropped pants and the use of the creamy peach color. It’s an unusual warm color. I can picture it looking good with an endless selection of other colors: olive green, gray, royal blue, red, purple, etc.
