Diego Zuñiga is an up and com­ing 22 year old designer from Mex­ico. For his fall 2009 col­lec­tion, he was inspired by the Greek term «τεκτων», which means builder or archi­tect. Moved to repli­cate the idea of con­struct­ing archi­tec­ture, Zuñiga was drawn to a con­crete col­ored palette result­ing in the promi­nent use of black, blue, white and gray. Work­ing as mas­ter archi­tect, Zuñiga drew upon on a dom­i­nant look that blends sporty and chic ele­ments with futur­is­tic con­struc­tion. The result is sub­tle devi­a­tions on a well-​​rounded con­cept that is made com­plete with Zuñiga’s per­son­able nerd glasses.
