
Raw Elegance–Making the move to Milan for their Italian debut, Diesel Black Gold returned to the clean-cut path, lending classic standbys a youthful edge. Bringing together garments with unfinished hems, thick cable knit sweaters and pleated trousers, a variety of pieces were revealed for a new wardrobe of unlikely companions. Dressing jacket and vest combos in vertical stripes and including the biker jacket as a welcomed addition, Diesel Black Gold brought their vision full circle with a portrayal of timeless elegance, modified for today’s generation.

Jaco’s Turn–Styled by Tadashi Mochizuk, the ethereal Jaco Van Den Hoven takes on looks from the Diesel Black Gold collection in his latest editorial for Popeye. Playing with hues of blue is photographer Takeshi Miezaki as he lights Jaco’s shoot to sheer perfection. The Delightful Tide–Washed out but nevertheless striking, the boys of Diesel Black Gold arrived for an aquatic affair brought to land. From oversize, loose outerwear to metallic pants, paired with more formal pieces, Diesel brought an interesting vision to life with a sharp number of ensembles, narrowed down for precision. However small the showing, treated leather, cropped jackets and halved sleeves, zipped or unzipped provided a feast for the eyes with a number of standout garments for the upcoming season.

Diesel World–Going international, Silviu Tolu pulls on boots and denim for a new spread in GQ Japan. Lensed by Shiro Katagiri, Silviu finds himself in an abandoned building, dressed in a wardrobe of fall garments from Diesel Black Gold.

Artisanal Rock–Inez & Vinoodh continue to dominate the fall 2011 season, turning their lens on Diesel Black Gold for their latest campaign. Featuring Louis Simonon, the campaign was shot in New York, under the creative direction of Sophia Kokosalaki and Lee Swillingham. Aiming to convey an artisanal craftmanship, while still showcasing a certain rock ‘n’ roll attitude, Diesel Black Gold and the vision of Inez & Vinoodh came together as the perfect marriage.

Shades of Gray–Diesel taps Brazilian model Douglas Neitzke for their fall 2011 Black Gold lookbook. Young, modern and dark, the latest lineup turns to gray for a trendy offering of layered ensembles. From washed denims and deconstructed outerwear to treated fabrics, Diesel turns up the ante with paper bag waists, a play on proportions as well as general destruction. Accented with pockets of red, fall’s collection lights a fire to the season with an accessible range for the contemporary man.
