Enrique Gon­za­lez Rangel is a Mex­i­can designer, styl­ist and the co-​​founder of the store Clin­ica in Mex­ico City. Enrique is also a con­trib­u­tor to Diane Pernet’s blog, A Shaded View of Fash­ion. Through his label EGR, Enrique show­cases a diverse range of menswear and wom­enswear, always with an Urban and Gothic-​​glam style. This style is noto­ri­ous in his most recent col­lec­tion, which he calls “Glam meets Pan­cho Villa”. The col­lec­tion ref­er­ences mil­i­taris­tic sil­hou­ettes inspired by Pan­cho Villa and the Mex­i­can Rev­o­lu­tion of 1910, but is styl­ized with a 70’s rock vibe. An ele­gant view is rep­re­sented by silk shirts with trans­par­ent details that offer a mys­tery and sen­su­al­ity. Mix­ing per­fectly with var­ied mate­ri­als like wool, silk and leather, the pre­dom­i­nantly black color palette is accented with hints of dark gray, saddle-​​brown and sil­ver. Over­all, the col­lec­tion makes a last­ing impres­sion with edgy looks that are high on impact, but con­scious of pro­por­tions and fit.
