Sometimes a changing economy calls for a new game plan. Erik Hart has put a halt to his self-titled line and is launching a Morphine Generation diffusion line to capitalize on the high-street market. Banking on the success of low wholesale prices paired with stylish modern clothes, MG Black Label will debut next week at Project in Las Vegas. [WWD]
Erik Hart just launched this fall, yet here they are with a holiday collection. Staying close to their fall collection, the color palette is predominately black and gray. The collection features a nice balance of classics and fashion forward pieces. In addition to nice clean pieces like trousers and coats, Hart incorporates an undercurrent of trends in this collection. Several of the long sleeved pieces feature a fingerless gloved opening, while another trend to surface is the hooded scarf. Well done Mr. Hart, well done.
“To celebrate Fashion Week, Oak has invited some of its favorite designers to explore their inner kinks and create limited-edition pieces evoking the idea of bondage for their limited line and associated presentation.” Labels participating include Complex Geometries, Unconditional, Bess, Obesity and Speed, Erik Hart, S2VS, Maharishi, Gar-de, and Alex & Chloe.
