Photographed by Masataka Suemitsu, Dylan Monroe, Nick Palmer and Lindley join the Fingers Crossed biker gang for the fall 2010 season. Modeled after Danny Lyon’s series of photos following the Chicago Outlaw Motorcycle Club in The Bikeriders, a playful collection comes into focus. A little rough around the edges, but possessing tender moments of sentiment, leather biker jackets are contrasted against the soft nature of sheer fabrics for an interesting fall outing.

fcspring0 Berthold Rothas by Yoshiaki Sekine for Fingers Crossed Spring 2010

Transitioning from a somber black inspiration to a life alongside the tracks, Fingers Crossed embraces classic denim and stripes, only to turn out an unexpected lesson in modern finesse and attitude. Featuring Berthold Rothas photographed by Yoshiaki Sekine, spring’s lookbook showcases denim ensembles with a wide appeal that mirrors both Japanese and American influences. From tears or patches to the balancing of loose and fitted proportions, Fingers Crossed garners positive attention with a grounded mix of style and substance.

Fall 2009 | Fingers Crossed

fingerscrossed Fall 2009 | Fingers Crossed

The fall collection from Fingers Crossed was inspired by the work of Lovett/Codagnone. Working around the theme of a collective identity, the duo are known for their series of black objects that play with the issue of power and the collective. Considering the current economic climate, Lovett/Codagnone’s work seemed like an appropriate starting point for inspiration. Propelled by a certain sense of anarchism, what took shape is a collection of black on black that intentionally blends traditional worker-wear with more fashion-forward pieces for a somber, but interesting take on fall. The collection is available at New York retailer Bblessing.
