mer­i­can work­wear gets a mod­ern day revamp with New Jer­sey based label Forged Iden­tity. The label is the result of the aspi­ra­tions of child­hood friends Joseph Cassesse, Joseph Troiano and Kevin Gold­stein. The trio’s hopes are for Forged Iden­tity to rep­re­sent a cloth­ing line that is “true to their indus­trial and con­struc­tion back­ground, while stretch­ing the lim­its of con­ven­tional menswear. What these men call ‘anti-​​glamour’, roots itself in the ide­ol­ogy of design that con­veys both ele­gance and mas­culin­ity.” The American-​​made fall col­lec­tion is best pre­sented through the look­book that show­cases indi­vid­ual pieces in dif­fer­ent arrange­ments. Embrac­ing a color palette of var­i­ous shades of black, gray, and beige, inter­change­able blaz­ers, waist­coats, shirts, trousers, and out­er­wear round out the col­lec­tion. The inter­mix­ing of pieces smartly demon­strates the same type of ver­sa­til­ity needed to forge one’s own style identity.
