Short and simple, spring’s runway looks for the Friedrich Gray man took the classic route for their color palette, but met chaos along the way. Disheveled with deconstruction and asymmetrical cuts, Friedrich Gray offers a current selection of mix and match fashion that includes both its edge – leather and a sensible soft touch found in the all-too common sheer top.

Short and simple, Friedrich Gray’s Ben Pollitt previewed a sampling of his menswear collection at the latest Australian show for the spring 2009⁄10 season. The collection is predominantly black with the exception of a sheer frail tank baring a colorful screen print. However, emerging from the collection is a uniform look consisting of buttery soft light-weight leather jackets paired with sheer tops and slim silhouetted pants.
Androgyny
It’s about testing the boundaries of what an audience will accept and stirring reactions from those around. And lets face it, if it looks good on you, who cares if it’s men’s or women’s. I don’t have time to analyse it so much.Your pallet has been consistently moody, would you ever work in a bright colour palette?
Hard one… No. But what is bright? If it’s white then who knows…–Ben Pollitt, designer of Friedrich Gray
