ISBIM Spring/​Summer ²⁰¹¹⁄₁₂

Storm in the Desert–New Zealand label ISBIM ven­tures to the exhaus­tive desert for their spring/​summer ²⁰¹¹⁄₁₂ col­lec­tion. With an urban man who has a pen­chant for style, ISBIM adopts a clas­sic and time­less sil­hou­ette with an offer­ing of out­er­wear, relaxed shirt­ing, open knits and relaxed trousers. Cap­tur­ing the essence of the Sahara desert, the col­lec­tion fea­tures tex­tured and light­weight fab­rics in soft color hues, accented by pops of deep red and black.

ISBIM Spring 2011

After quite the dark sea­son, New Zealand-​​based label ISBIM makes the return to light basics with their spring 2011 col­lec­tion enti­tled Awaken Dragon. Con­tin­u­ing fall’s theme, the dragon awak­ens to a sea­son of color and prints infused with the unique use of moth­balls for fab­ric. Also join­ing ISBIM designer Joshua Jang this sea­son is Lan Yu, who brings a new relaxed energy to the streetwear label.

Fall 2010 | ISBIM

After a busy spring, New Zealand label ISBIM, aka “I Still Believe in Mir­a­cles” is back with a look that is more mature. Avoid­ing bright col­ors in favor of black, ISBIM design­ers Joshua Jang and Bar­bara Tee were inspired by the fusion of an urban aes­thetic with East­ern mys­ti­cism. Enti­tling the col­lec­tion “Sleep­ing Dragon”, under­stated ele­ments hint at the image of a dragon, rang­ing from scale prints to hide-​​like sur­faces. Alto­gether engag­ing a bal­anc­ing act of sub­tle over­size pieces with more fit­ted arrange­ments, the col­lec­tion finds the ideal space to cater to the season’s whims.

ISBIM Spring ²⁰⁰⁹⁄₂₀₁₀

ISBIM, short for “I Still Believe In Mir­a­cles” is a New Zealand brand who like so many other labels from the south­ern hemi­sphere began with a t-​​shirt range, before expand­ing their line to include a more encom­pass­ing mix of pieces. The lat­est col­lec­tion is dom­i­nated by black and white halftone prints as well as bold bright pat­terns. The lively col­lec­tion of blaz­ers, tops and shorts embrace a youth­ful lifestyle that offers the space for an explo­ration in pro­por­tions and style.
