21 and new to the fashion industry, Jaeha-Alex Kim has an innovative eye and is looking to expand his brand. Debuting at the Air New Zealand Fashion Week in September 2007, Kim “has been touted as the most exciting talent to emerge from New Zealand in a decade.” His focus is women’s wear, but menswear is also within his scope. Not afraid to stray from the mold, Kim goes there in presenting unconventional pieces. Call it fashion on crack, but I like what I see from the tie-dye to the slim silhouette to the awkward stacking. It’s funky, yet subdued.
