Look­ing out to sea for inspi­ra­tion, a clean col­lec­tion finds its voice in a vari­ety of sil­hou­ettes – rang­ing from nar­row and elon­gated to over­size. Whether it is elec­tric blue, golden yel­low or a pure white, Jan iú Més cre­ates a relax­ing atmos­phere, in turn accom­plish­ing a great deal when it comes to sep­a­rates. Hand-​​dyed and dressed in vivid prints, linen suit­ing car­ries a resort feel, while shorts, knitwear and loose shirt­ing sum up a sea­son of great relaxation.

Nature’s Call­ing–More rigid and struc­turally con­structed than pre­vi­ous col­lec­tions, Jan iú Més embraces an aus­tere sil­hou­ette for fall 2011. Recon­nect­ing with the wilder­ness of nature, double-​​breasted coats, heavy knits and sheer shirts are devel­oped in over­all graphic prints of vary­ing tex­tural sur­faces – result­ing in the meld­ing of the clas­sics with a mod­ern fashion-​​forward point of view.

Begin­ning with straight-​​forward pieces and a palette of nat­ural col­ors, Jan iú Més grad­u­ally unrav­els spring’s tidy offer­ings with “explo­sion, implo­sion and effer­ves­cence”. Mas­ters of the chunky knit, design­ers Jan Zamora Royo and Alfonso Peña Car­reras con­tinue the extrav­a­ganza of this past fall with empow­er­ing sil­hou­ettes and effort­less drap­ing. Mean­while, cinched treated leather appears sen­si­tive and soft in con­trast – pro­vid­ing a luxe com­pan­ion piece to Jan Iú Més’ disheveled suit­ing. Wrin­kled with care, the collection’s plaid suit­ing and striped alter­na­tives encom­pass a detail ori­ented vision that rein­ter­prets the clas­sics with ease for quite the mod­ern appeal.

Alto­gether, design­ers Jan Zamora Royo and Alfonso Peña Car­reras cre­ate a look that is very now and tuned into the pulse of fash­ion. How­ever, with spe­cial atten­tion to details, they man­age to cul­ti­vate a sea­sonal look that is uniquely their own – effec­tively sep­a­rat­ing them from the rest of their colleagues.
