Alexandre Cunha (New Madison) stars in Richmond’s recent campaign that celebrates the combined forces of Richmond X and Richmond Denim for more than a hundred new stores opening next year.

After a season with several options for the well dressed man, John Richmond reigns it in with a tight cohesive line of suiting with the occasional garment or two for the day off. Other than purple and red, the collection remains largely dark with an interesting accent of regal prints juxtaposed with larger than life checks. Altogether, serious, Richmond’s spring outing comes across cold with a little glimmer of hope at the end.

Following a campaign for Firetrap, D1’s bright new talent Harvey Haydon snags the lead in John Richmond’s spring 2010 outing. Photographed by Lorenzo Bringheli, Harvey perfectly complements Richmond’s penchant for non-traditional suiting with a rock & roll edge.

A byproduct of old and new ideas, the latest collection from John Richmond tests age sensibilities with garments that multigenerational. The standard suit is let out and reformed with a punk attitude, while classic staples like the trench become modern with a quilted update. Meanwhile, eveningwear is juxtaposed with casual denim and the grandpa sweater left in tact for character. A well-rounded figure, John Richmond’s man approaches the fall season with an unwavering determination to progress his style, while also paying a nod to the classics.
