Spring Refresher–John Varvatos enlists Marcel Castenmiller for a brief spring look. Clad in somber hues of brown and gray, Marcel dons Varvatos’ fitted take on militaristic wear with blazers, jackets and accessories.

Urban Rock–Designer John Varvatos spins a tale of the streets and rock for the fall/winter 2012 season. Embodying a certain harshness in comparison to last season’s romantic laments, Varvatos taps into an element of youth. Bringing together garments in an almost reckless fashion, the mood is relaxed and the results more exciting. While laceless boots barely come to a close, oversize outerwear in various hues of gray bring comfort to knits as well as other pieces, tattered and stained. Featuring a wardrobe that possesses the potential to be both tidy and fantastically disheveled, John Varvatos dismisses the aspect of age for a collection that evolves with a little smarts.

Danger in Manhattan–Art directed by Yard and captured by the lens of photographer Danny Clinch, the spring/summer 2012 campaign of John Varvatos turns to iconic music band Green Day to front the new outing. Inspired by the film Man on Wire, where a daredevil crosses a tightrope rigged between the Twin Towers, the campaign takes Green Day to new heights to get a grand look at not only Manhattan’s skyline but Varvatos’ latest rock & roll fused collection.

The Season of Gifting–Anticipating the holiday season, John Varvatos enlists DNA models Miles McMillan and Benoni Loos for a timely gift guide. Marked by a dark but sensitive quality, the new images offer up a coveted lot of garments and accessories. From the signature Varvatos knit, constructed with immense care and attention to detail, to boots with a modern edge or the perfect finishing touch, found in a scarf, the holiday season is bound to be special with the notable label in hand.

Hot Names–Magazine for Fashion presents their Hot Names for 2011 in the cover story of their latest issue, shot by Michele De Andreis. Varvatos’ Roots–Never straying far away from his love of Rock ‘n’ Roll music, John Varvatos taps The Roots for his fall 2011 campaign. Inspired by images of iconic bands of the past, The Roots are photographed arriving in style at Republic Airport in New York with an exclusive performance from the campaign shoot. / View John Varvatos’ fall 2011 collection here.
In 1999, John Varvatos launched his eponymous label. Only months after his debut collection, Varvatos opened his first store in Soho. Music is accredited as the sole catalyst for Varvatos’s interest in fashion. His obsession with Rock ‘n’ Roll is apparent and plays a significant role in the expression of the John Varvatos brand. It was no surprise when Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop and Velvet Revolver appeared in a memorable campaign for the label. In 2001, Varvatos collaborated with Converse All-Star to create the much sought after laceless sneakers. Along with his menswear, womenswear, diffusion line John Varvatos Star USA and collaboration with Converse, the label is worth over $80 million.
